Our Story

We are a small company that starts with a BIG idea

As a modern muslim, many woman are looking for clothes that are trendy, up to date and most importantly, still have the element of politeness. Unfortunately, it is hard to find something that meets all the criteria as clothe out there are always lacking in something that we want ( and if they do, the price are WAY too high than we can afford.)

Just like other muslim women, we also face the same problem. From here, our idea to create getGorgeous was born.

getGorgeous is an online store that offers variety ranges of women clothing and accessories with good qualities at a very affordable price. What makes us unique and different from the other online store is that we not only sells clothes, but we also offers and provides variety of ideas and fashion for muslimah to appear trendy.

getGorgeous started on June 2007, the result of two sisters (Azlia & Allia) with ardent desire and passion to start an online clothing business. Using our own saving, we run a very small online store with just 6 pieces of clothes on sale! Soon, we transformed our own bedroom into a little store cum workstation as there have been an encouragingly increase demand on our product, and the goods have taken more spaces, making our mom very uneasy about all those cluttered stuffs.

Starting by just using free web hosting to sell our clothes online, getGorgeous has now had its own website and wishes to expand the business and be more competitive to meet the challenge of other online boutique and also meets the needs of all our customers.


Our Team

Azlia Idha - Director cum Customer Relations

"I am the person who loves fashion, colors and love to see women dress up fashionably! My preferences are more towards oriental style, lots of prints and ethnic. One of the reason getGorgeous is created is because I use to be an online shopaholic. Shopping online has many advantages as it saves a lot of time, energy and most importantly, your money!"

Azlia Idha is a UPM Bachelor of Landscape Architecture graduate. She has experience as an architect in 2005, and now is really passionate on becoming a successful Internet Entrepreneur through getGorgeous. The thing that matter most is that she gets an infinite satisfaction when customers are happy and satisfied with getGorgeous product!

 

Allia Idha - Head of Designer & Photographer

"getGorgeous helps women who want to look trendy but not too overdone and still, is easy to wear and style it. We chose the designs that we see as unique and eye-catching. However, there is also the design that I like but not the case for my sister! Me and my sister have quite a different taste. I love fashion that are cute, sporty, simple and yet still very appealing. What makes us special is that we combine our different and unique taste into our line. With the existence of getGorgeous, it is hope to fulfill the dream and needs of every muslimah in the fashion world."

Allia Idha is a Multimedia University, Cyberjaya, Bachelor of Honours in Digital Media graduate. She is a person who is full of creative ideas especially in graphic and photography field. She had won a game contest for Playoo Mobile Game Competition. She is also the Designer for The Raise PSP and website banner project for Dewan Bahasa and Pustaka.

 

Shikin - Head of Advertising & Marketing

"Having been living with all girls sibling, my taste in fashion use to be simple and very feminine. I don't really care about fashion and trend as long as what I wear is comfortable. As I get older, my fashion sense changes along with the modern trend. I love clothes that are simple but nice, unique and comfortable at the same time. And that is what getGorgeous is about, unique, comfortable and most importantly affordable!"

Shikin is a Multimedia University,Cyberjaya Bachelor of Honours in Digital Media graduate. She is experienced in the field of multimedia and interactive media. She also has helped in the video production for senior student at her university. Just recently,she has been offered to be the cast for motion graphic for one of the band in Malaysia.

 

Taka - Head of Plans and Idea Development

"He is a boy who have a big dream, "fantarealistatic" and great ideas toward better future. Calculated instinct always a choice to make any decision."

Taka is a Multimedia University ,Cyberjaya Bachelor of Honours in Interface Design graduate. He has lots of plans to develop and improve the company and making sure that all work went well.
