The power of good cookies is unimaginable. 

I am munching down on my fifth cookie of the day while writing this. It got me thinking, why cookies are literally the best thing to exist in this world. Cookies are the first thing we receive on a wonderful valentines day. It is what we give to our mothers on mother’s day. It is what we make for a kid’s birthday party. It is also sometimes what we make as wedding party favors. And most times, this crunchy, heavenly goodness is what we make for ourselves and have it stocked up in our pantries.

There are so many reasons to love a cookie. I personally feel like it deserves its own list just as it deserves its own spot in a beautiful jar on the table next to the best glass partition in KL

Cookies Come In So Many Different Flavours

Not a fan of the good old chocolate chip cookie? No worries. Cookies don’t come only in one favor. You can have any type of cookie you want. We have mint chocolate cookies, oatmeal cookies, raisin cookies, banana cookies, Oreos, butter cookies, lemon cookies, strawberry jam-filled cookies, custard-filled cookies, matcha cookies, and even chilli cookies. Can’t imagine a spicy cookie? Some bakers went as far as mixing their own spices of chili to make cookies. Some even had a bit of a salty craving and invented pesto cookies.

Cookies Come In All Shapes And Sizes

If I say I ate one cookie, it probably was the size of my fist. Huge and round and beautiful. One cookie is never enough to satisfy us unless it is huge. The best part about cookies is they can be any shape, size, form, or color. 

Cookies Can Be Healthy 

If you don’t want to indulge in a high calories dessert, cookies make a great alternative but of course, with wise portion control. The portion control is key here because it is also to overindulge in a jar of cookies. We all have been guilty of doing that at one point in our life. But if you are someone who enjoys a good sweet cookie but wants to remain healthy, look into some healthy cookie alternatives. Cookies can be made sugar-free and still be just as sweet and delicious. (Hello, to the power of fruits and artificial sweeteners)

Cookies can also have a great earthy nice texture from nuts like almonds, walnuts and so many more. These can help bring flavor to your healthy cookie selection. Many have experimented over the years to bring us versions of cookies that are gluten-free, plant-based, sugar-free, keto diet safe and so many more.  

Either way, there is a cookie out there for each and every one of us. Regardless of our preferences and tastes. Cookies are a great dessert that can cheer up our day after a busy day at work. It can be a great mid-work snack, post-gym snack, and even a breakfast snack. It is amazing how cookies can also be paired up with so many other foods and desserts. I mean, let’s never forget the combination of ice cream and cookies, shall we?
